918 Plate has officially been born! I hope that you will find it useful, fun, and that you will enJOY being a part of this community.
What is it?
918 Plate is a home cooking blog, from my kitchen to yours.
This is a place for the amateur to novice home-chef. I make all sorts of things, easy to extensive. This is where I document learning new skills and creating new flavors.
Right now, I’m a party of two with my husband. Most of our recipes will be suited to two servings (albeit, sometimes large servings).
Why is it called 918 Plate?
I’m writing to you from Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. Our area code, 918, has become somewhat of a cultural thing, much like 303 has in Denver. Plus, it rhymes with Plate.
What can I find at 918 Plate?
I aspire to simplicity. My hope is that you can find something that you can make here that satisfies your taste buds!
My goal will also be use locally sourced ingredients when possible. I regularly attend Tulsa Farmers’ Markets, and am growing a few things in my own backyard also.
Who made the 918 Plate logo? It’s awesome!
My dear sorority pledge sister and friend, Lauren Mann did it! Hit her up for great graphic design inspiration.
I encourage you to comment, write me, and share the recipes with others. I love to hear what you think about the recipes, or kitchen adventures of your own!
